HR Cares: Masters for Max Hits a Hole-in-One for Camp Ho Mita Koda (Copy)
At HR Cares, we believe in the power of good food, great people, and giving back. This April, that mission came to life in the best way possible as Rosewood Grill Hudson proudly partnered with local champion and founder of Masters for Max, Chris Mikolay, to support a cause close to our hearts: Camp Ho Mita Koda—a transformative summer camp experience for children living with Type 1 Diabetes.
What began 12 years ago as a grassroots effort by Chris to raise awareness for a camp near & dear to his heart has blossomed into a global Masters Pool fundraiser, capturing the spirit of the game and the generosity of people from around the world. Once Hospitality Restaurants co-founder George Schindler learned about Chris’s passion and the mission behind Masters for Max, he knew we had to be part of it.
On Friday, April 11th, Chris hosted an electric Masters Watch Party at Rosewood Grill, and the energy was nothing short of inspiring. The room was filled with golf fans, friends of the camp, and supporters eager to give back. With themed food and drinks, golf-inspired décor, and incredible raffle prizes, guests were treated to a one-of-a-kind evening. Prizes ranged from a private lesson with British Open Champion Ben Curtis to a session with a sports psychologist to sharpen the mental side of the game. (Truth be told, that was the most coveted prize of the night!)
Thanks to Chris’s leadership and the generosity of everyone involved, this year’s event was a resounding success. We’re proud to have played a role in supporting Camp Ho Mita Koda, a place where kids with Type 1 Diabetes can feel empowered, understood, and celebrated.
We’re already looking ahead to future collaborations with Chris and are excited to see what the 2026 Masters for Max Pool will bring. Want to learn more about the camp or get involved? Click here to read more—and don’t be surprised if you find yourself signing up for next year’s pool!
Together, we swing for a cause—and we’re just getting started.
