Hospitality Restaurants Raises $15,500 for the American Heart Association in Honor of George Schindler
At Hospitality Restaurants, we have always believed that our greatest strength is our people and the communities we serve. When our friends at the American Heart Association approached us about supporting their mission, we knew immediately we wanted to make the donation in honor of our late friend, partner, mentor, and co-founder, George Schindler.
George dedicated more than three decades of his life to building Hospitality Restaurants into what it is today. His passion for excellence, commitment to people, and generosity toward others continue to influence everything we do. Honoring his legacy through a cause that impacts so many families felt like the perfect tribute.
To maximize awareness and participation, we created a special dessert promotion, "4 GEO," and pledged to donate 100% of the proceeds to the American Heart Association. Initially, we hoped it would be a successful campaign and perhaps sell 600 desserts throughout the month.
What happened next exceeded every expectation.
Guests, employees, family members, friends, business partners, and colleagues rallied around the cause in an incredible display of support. By the end of the campaign, nearly 1,200 desserts had been sold across our restaurants, allowing Hospitality Restaurants to donate $15,500 to the American Heart Association in George's honor.
The generosity didn't stop there.
When several of George's closest friends learned about the campaign, they insisted on making personal contributions as well. Their support, combined with the proceeds from the dessert program, helped raise nearly $21,000 for the American Heart Association.
We could not be more proud of our teams, who enthusiastically embraced the campaign and shared George's story with our guests every day. Their passion, along with the overwhelming support from our communities, transformed what we thought would be a modest fundraiser into something truly remarkable.
Most importantly, this campaign serves as a reminder that George's impact continues to be felt throughout our organization and beyond. His legacy lives on not only in the restaurants he helped build, but also in the lives touched through acts of generosity like this one.
