Although our restaurants are empty, our spirit remains high.

Dear Friends of Hospitality Restaurants,

Thank you for your friendship and loyal patronage over the past 30 years.

With a heavy heart, we instructed our staff of nearly 400 employees to enter unemployment this past Monday. Sadly, that was the most prudent option afforded us to keep hope for all of our futures. The mere thought pains us beyond comprehension.

After much discussion, we concluded that selling carry-out meals is simply contrary to how our award-winning restaurants were designed to operate, nor would doing so begin to sustain the needs of our staff or business model. Thus, we now face the staggering reality of covering the fixed costs of a large company that suddenly has no revenues.

This week we distributed over $50,000 of food to our staff for their well-being; and we have assured them that we will continue to fund their hospitalization. Despite those measures, they will suffer immense financial hardship at this very difficult time.

We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of encouragement from our friends and patrons, many of whom have generously asked how to contribute to the welfare of our employees. In response, we created a Go Fund Me page for contributions.

We know that we are not alone in this, but since our company motto is "Do Whatever it Takes", we are doing just that to take care of our own.  Funds will be equitably distributed to our hourly staff members, salaried managers and chefs.

If you find it in your heart to "leave a tip", we thank you for your kindness - large or small, the amount matters not. And if you'd be so kind as to pass this along to your contacts, we'd be appreciative more than you can imagine.

Thank you and God Bless,
George, Kay, Dave and Chris
